1996-2016 : Intimidation is infectious. Let's fight it together.
Twenty years after its first intimidation awareness campaign in postgraduate medical education sites, the Fédération des médecins résidents du Québec (FMRQ) is launching a new campaign to wipe out the scourge of bullying, which continues to wreak havoc in the healthcare system. From 2008 to 2011, “45% to 50% of Canadian medical residents said they had been victims of harassment or intimidation.” All system stakeholders—medical students and residents, physicians, nurses, technicians and others—are potential victims, and potential bullies. In 2016, our aim is to bring together everyone working in the healthcare system around a common.
The intimidation/bullying awareness campaign in our training sites is still running.
To give our logo a higher profile and reach the largest number of people possible so as to wipe out intimidation, we are suggesting you add the attached banner to your emails or display the campaign logo in a photo on your Facebook page.
