For 2020-2021, the FMRQ offset some 100 tonnes of C02 emissions and invested an equivalent sum in protecting, safeguarding, and promoting the environment through Carbone boréal’s Forestry component, Carbone Scol’ERE educational credits, the ECOTIERRA – UdeS program, and the University of Montreal’s Adopte un lac (“Adopt a Lake”) campaign. In this way, the FMRQ has offset double its carbon emissions in order to invest in the environment beyond carbon neutrality.
Since 2019, the FMRQ has achieved carbon neutrality by offsetting each year the total C02 emissions generated by its activities.
