Psychological Safety in the Clinical Environment

“Psychological safety is the perception that taking interpersonal risks will not entail consequences  for themselves or for their status in an organization”. This is how Dr Thibault-Lemyre, pediatrician, clinician investigator, and assistant clinical professor, defines psychological safety. This is, among other things, what he explained during the conference he presented on the occasion of Resident Doctors’ Day on May 3, 2024. In this issue of Le Bulletin, you will find the main points covered during this conference, in particular on how psychological safety is articulated in the context of medical education.

You will also find the results of a survey of members regarding work and call schedules, as well as a status report on the negotiation of resident doctors’ conditions.
