Public/Private Practice

For a physician participating within the meaning of the Act governing the Quebec Health Insurance Board, i.e., who is paid by RAMQ, it is possible to practise in the private sector at the same time, in certain specialties. This is the case with plastic surgeons, for instance. If you wish to opt for this type of practice, check with RAMQ or your hospital department that you are complying with the rules.
